Security beefed up at Indira Park dharna chowk and its surrounding areas in view of MRPS Maha Deeksha today
Hyderabad: Hyderabad City Police has beefed up security at Indira Park and its surrounding areas in view of Madiga Reservation Porata Samithi (MRPS) activists Maha Deeksha in support of TSRTC workers stir at Indira Park today. Since the activists of MRPS are likely to gather in huge numbers, large number of police personnel along with water canons and tear gas vehicles deployed at Indira Park to thwart any untoward incidents. City Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar has denied the permission for any dharna at Indira Park dharna chowk today, he further appealed the activists of MRPS and others, none should try to come towards dharna chowk for any such procession or dharna.
On the other hand, the Traffic Police authorities has issued traffic advisory to avoid traffic obstructions and congestion in and around Indira Park and closed the road from 8 am to 6 pm today. To avoid inconvenience to the general public they suggested different routes. Traffic coming from RTC Cross roads towards Indira Park should take left or right turn at Ashok Nagar cross roads. The vehicles coming from Telugu Talli flyover should go straight taking Lower Tank Bund road and avoid taking right turn towards Indira Park. The traffic coming from Vaartha lane should take LIC lane at Banda Maisamma cross roads and the vehicles coming from Domalguda should take street number 5 and 6 of Himayathnagarto avoid any inconvenience to them.
