Sequence of events that made Hyderabad police to encounter the accused in Disha case

The Hyderabad police on Friday morning encountered all the four accused in Disha case when they were brought to the crime scene for the reconstruction of the sequence of events.

The police claimed that the accused snatched the weapons and launched fire on the police at the spot and also tried to escape. They have fought back and fired at the accused in self-defence, it is said.

In the gun battle between the two, the police killed the accused and two of the police personnel also suffered injuries.

November 27: The 26-year-old veterinary doctor Disha went missing while she was on her way home from a hospital in Madhapur

November 28: The charred body of the doctor was found under the culvert at Chatanpally in Shadnagar

November 29: The Hyderabad police arrested four people in connection with the rape and murder of the vet

November 30: Amidst the nation-wide outrage, the accused sent to judicial remand

December 2: Leaders expressed rage over the incident in both the houses of parliament and suggested lynching of the accused in public.

The Hyderabad police sought 10-day custody of the accused from Shadnagar court

December 4: Telangana government directed to set up a fast-track court to hear the case.

The Shadnagar court imposed seven-day custody to the accused

December 5: The police took the accused into seven-day custody

December 6: All the four accused were taken to the crime scene where they were encountered by the police when tried to flee.
