Serilingampally: Homage paid to Dr Ambedkar
Serilingampally: Local Corporator Ragam Nagender Yadav on Friday urged people to strive for achieving the aspirations of Father of Constitution Dr B R Ambedkar.
He was speaking in the ward office at Maha Parividhwan Divas organised in connection with Ambedkar's 63rd anniversary after paying floral tributes to his portrait in the ward office.
Yadav recalled Ambedkar's services to the country, describing him as a 'Mahaneta' who strove for the uplift of weaker sections. Among those present were former councillor Durgam Veeresham Goud, Jana Chaitanya SC Welfare Association president Narsimha, secretary Satyanarayana, members Ashok, Pentayya, Shankarappa, Babu Rao, Arjun, Sayanna, Tukaram, Srikanth and Sharanappa.
