Nalgonda: SFI demands release of pending fee dues, stages protest at Collectorate

Nalgonda/Bhongir: With the demand to address the issues in education sector, the activists of Students Federation of India (SFI) tried to lay siege to district collectorate in Nalgonda on Monday.

Tension prevailed when the protestors tried to enter the Collectorate. However police controlled the situation by taking the student union leaders into their custody.

Addressing the students, Federation State vice-president Mallam Mahesh demanded the government to provide midday meals to students studying in government junior colleges and model schools.

He demanded the State government to also release pending fee dues and scholarships. He also sought the government fill vacant posts in the Mahatma Gandhi University and construction of permanent buildings of welfare hotels in the State.

Federation leaders P Balu, Anjaneyulu, Laxman Naik, Ramesh, Srikanth, Mahesh, Naresh, Anitha, Prashanthi, Shravani, Sirisha, Mounica, Geetha, Maheshwari and a large numbers of SFI activists participated.

Similarly, the SFI wing of Yadadri-Bhongir district also conducted a protest in front of the district collectorate seeking redressal for similar issues.
