Hyderabad: Former minister and ex-Leader of Opposition in Telangana Legislative Council Mohammed Ali Shabbir on Saturday has strongly condemned the TRS government for its failure to resolve the issues pertaining thousands of employees of the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) which forced them to go on indefinite strike.

Addressing a press conference, Shabbir Ali said that the attitude of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao towards RTC employees was quite shocking and deplorable. "KCR seems to have forgotten the contribution of RTC employees in formation of Telangana.

They made several sacrifices, risked their jobs and actively participated in statehood movement with the hope that their lives would improve", he said.

However, after the formation of Telangana, KCR family made a big fortune and TRS leaders turned billionaires while the RTC workers remained neglected, he slammed.

Shabbir Ali described Chandrashekar Rao as a 'U-turn' chief minister and slammed him for changing his stance towards RTC workers. While in opposition, Rao supported all the demands of RTC employees.

But after becoming chief minister, he is opposing the same demands and trying to oppress them. He stated all the demands being raised by RTC workers were fully justified and must be fulfilled.
