Nalgonda: SHE Teams chief examines land for construction of women assurance centre

Nalgonda: SHE Teams IG Swathi Lakra directed the district police officials to provide safety and security to girls and women without any compromise. On Tuesday, she visited Nalgonda to examine the place for construction of women assurance centre in the tow.

As part of the programme, along with Superintendent of Police AV Ranganath and DSP Gangaram, she inspected SHE Teams police station and enquired about the functioning of police station and measures being taken by SHE Teams through paper clippings and photos.

She directed the officials to do justice to the victim women by treating them as family members.

Circle Inspector Rajashekar explained about various awareness programmes being carried out by SHE Teams police for the safety and security of women in the district.

She requested District Collector Gaurav Uppal to extend district administration cooperation in transferring the land for the construction of assurance centre which is under control of Roads and Buildings department. In return, the Collector informed to the IG that he would write to the government urging necessary action.
