Mahbubnagar: The Suraksha Police Kalabrundam teams in Mahbubnagar district are visiting various schools and colleges in the district and urging the students not just to confine to books but also excel in sports and athletics and develop an all-round personality.
As part of spreading awareness among the students, the Police Kalabrundam teams visited the Koilsagar High school in Devarkadra mandal of Mahbubnagar district and spoke about the bad effects of using smartphones.
The students were advised to inculcate the habit of reading books and use the smartphones only for limited purposes and not to become addicted to them. "These days smartphones have completely spoiled the value system in our society.
As the smartphones have become open source to largescale information, both good and bad, the youth many a times are losing social and cultural ethics. It is time that every individual and the parents wake up and protect the children from the adverse impacts of smartphones," said Ravinder, Devarkadra Sub-Inspector, during the programme.
The police inspector was particular about the rising incidents of indecent behaviour towards girls and women by the anti-social elements. He said the police will not tolerate such indecent and hooligan behaviour and warned the boys and youngsters to shun all such activities or else the police would not hesitate to book them and take stern action as per the law.
The police advised the schoolchildren that this was the right time for them to control their mind and focus on their careers, rather than getting diverted towards petty and temporary things which will ruin their lives.
