SI held for taking bribe in Hyderabad

A Sub-inspector posted at Moghulpura police station has been arrested for accepting Rs 30,000 bribe.

The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) laid a trap and caught the SI P Babu red-handed while accepting the bribe.

The complainant Raheem approached ACB after the SI demanded the bribe to settle a conflict with another businessman. According to the ACB sleuths, Raheem had a conflict with another businessman and the matter was brought to the notice of the SI who called Raheem.

Babu threatened to arrest Raheem and demanded Rs 30,000 for not recommending Raheem and his brother's name to Revenue Officer for taking an action.

The SI was taken into custody.
