Siddipet Council approves 239 crore budget
Siddipet: The city council on Wednesday unanimously approved the Municipality's 239 crore budged for 2020-21 at its special meeting, conducted, here. The meeting was held under the supervision of Municipal Chairman Rajanarsu and attended by State Finance Minister Harish Rao.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said crores of rupees are being spent for drinking water. "The expenses will come down once Mallanna Sagar was completed. We got approved the sanctioning of Rs 380 cr from NABARD," he said.
He directed the councillors to take initiative to sanction tap connections to every household in the city. He also ordered the concerned authorities to complete the construction of underground drainages as early as possible.
District Additional Collector Muzammil Khan, Municipal Vice Chairman Akhtar Patel and Councillors were present at the event.
