Sircilla: Cooking in clay pots is healthy
Sircilla: A clay pottery programme has been conducted on Thursday under the guidance of a teacher Sampathi Ramesh at Marigadda Primary School. Speaking on the occasion, Ramesh told the students that clay pots were made with red clay and heated at a high temperature. All our ancestors used to cook food in clay pots and drink water in earthen pots, hence they were healthy without any ailments.
The use of aluminium containers can cause many health issues, he observed. But the people have to use aluminium utensils only as clay pots are not manufactured now-a-days.
K Shankar, head of Invention of Next Earthen Role Demonstration programme, asked the students to ban plastic containers in their houses and to start using clay utensils, which are not harmful to health.
School teachers, students and others attended the exhibition.
