Sirsilla Collector D Krishna Bhaskar gets a rare opportunity
Sircilla: District Collector D Krishna Bhaskar has been invited by the Central government for giving suggestions on the amendments to the Prime Minister's Awards for Excellence in Public Administration.
The award will be presented to the Collector on Civil Services Day, which is celebrated on April 21 every year when bureaucrats rededicate themselves to public service, and awards for excellence in public administration are also conferred.
The Central government had invited Collectors from 15 districts across the country to submit suggestions on the Prime Minister's Awards for the year 2020. The Centre asked suggestions through a video conference on Tuesday.
Of the 732 districts across the country, only 15 districts were invited by the Central government for suggestions on the amendments to the Prime Minister's Awards. Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, Collector and Rajanna Sircilla Collector D Krishna Bhaskar from Telangana State received the invitation.
Collector Krishna Bhaskar gave amendments and suggestions to be made on rural development, infrastructure and educational development through a video conference to the Secretary of Public Reforms and Public Complaints Division. The other districts, which got the invitation, are Solan (Himachal Pradesh), Udupi (Karnataka), East Khasi Hills, Shillong (Meghalaya), Bikaner (Rajasthan), Jaunpur (Uttar Pradesh), Barasat North 24 (West Bengal) Collectors of Imphal East, Imphal West (Manipur), Nagan (Assam), Banka (Bihar), Pathanamthitta (Kerala) and Banaskantha (Gujarat).
