Slain gangster Nayeem's sister held for land-grabbing in Hyderabad
Hyderabad: Bhongir police of Rachakonda Commissionerate on Wednesday arrested gangster Nayeem's sister on land-grabbing charges. According to police, Mohammed Saleema Begum (53), along with her henchmen had allegedly grabbed agricultural lands, house plots and shops in the limits of Bhongir by threatening the victims and the same was registered on her name.
One Kurapati Abhinandan had sold some plots to the complainant V Shankara Chari and others before 2006. But in the year 2007, Abhinandan and Saleema along with latter's henchmen colluded and conspired with each other to illegally grab the plots and register the same lands on her and her family members name.
Later, the accused persons transferred the lands on the name of a realtor A Venkat Reddy, who subsequently converted those lands into housing plots and sold out on the name of 'London Township'. The accused persons also threatened other land owners K Sridevi and K Srinivas and occupied their land.
The accused Saleema along with other gang members so far involved in 28 land-grabbing cases in the limits of Bhongir, Shamshabad, Shadnagar, Miryalaguda, Nalgonda, Korutla, Alair, Narsingi, Pahadishareef, and Adibatla, police stations. She was involved in 14 cases out of 28 only in the Bhongir police station limits.
