Social activist Md Azam wins National Sadbhavana Award in Karimnagar

Karimnagar: Social activist Mohammad Azam has been selected for the 'National Sadbhavana Award, 2019'. The Karimnagar resident will receive the award from the hands of the Union Minister at an award function to be held in New Delhi on October 13.

The representatives of the International Youth Forum in association with National Youth Award Winners Association, Dr.Javed Jamedhar and Manish Shanka Gawai announced the awards for the people who are rendering best services in various sectors to mark the occasion of Mahatma Gandhi's 150th birth anniversary.

The son of Karimnagar, Mohammad Azaam, has been selected for the National Sadbhavana Award for rendering his services to protect the environment by establishing 'Dharti Bachavo' organisation.

He took initiation for protection of environment and motivated people, students and other people for planting saplings besides protecting the trees and various species living in the nature. He played a key role in spreading the message of the need to protect environment.

He also took part along with others in Swachh Bharat programme and organised cycle rallies, shramadanams, sanitation and many such activities. Recognising his services, he has been selected for the National Sadbhavana Award which he will receive on October 13 in New Delhi.
