Society will develop if rural people are self-sufficient: Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy
Kanagal (Nalgonda): Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy said that society would develop if rural people were self-sufficient. The Minister released fish seedlings in Mila Samudram of Kanagal and took part in National Artificial insemination programme inauguration, which was organised by livestock development agency at G Yedavalli of same mandal in the district on Thursday.
Addressing the gathering, the Minister said government was giving new lease of life to caste-based professions by leaving fish seedlings in village ponds and distributing cattle.
The Minister said using cattle in farming activity will improve yields and help in eco balance. Meanwhile, officials of fisheries department released as many as 15 lakh fish seedlings in various village ponds in Kanagal mandal.
Nalgonda ZP chairman Banda Narender Reddy, MLA Kancharal Bhupal Reddy, district officials of respective departments Charitha, Srinivas Rao and villagers participated in the event.
