Solve public issues then and there: Collector M Rammohan Rao

Nizamabad: District Collector M Rammohan Rao has directed the officials concerned to solve the issues at village and mandal-level there and then. He received complaints from the people at the Collectorate here on Monday during the Prajavani program.

Later addressing the officials of various departments, the Collector said the people are coming to the district headquarters as the problems at village and mandal-level are not being solved. Ignoring public problems and neglecting to solve them shows the officials' incompetency even though they have the authority to solve them, he added. The Collector told the officials to decide themselves whether they are incompetent or competent.

Rammohan Rao said the officials should respond to the public complaints within the deadline of the Citizen's Chart. He also told the people not to come to the office several times.

The Collector asked the officials of Education and Welfare departments to submit report on the facilities available and requirements of the departments. Also, they were told to report on the structures, current situation and their development and to submit details of court cases to the respective departments. The officials were strictly ordered to submit all these details by December 5.

The Collector has instructed the officials of all departments in the district to respond personally to the letters sent by the State-level DO, Principal Secretary, Department Secretaries and other top-level officials. He warned that action will be taken against those, who delay in submitting the files. He also asked the authorities through video conference about the receipt of Prajavani applications at division and mandal-levels. Other department officials were ordered to attend the meeting without fail.

Joint Collector Venkateshwarlu, District Revenue Officer Anjaneyulu, Revenue Divisional Officer Venkateshwarulu, DRDO Ramesh

and district officials were present at the meeting.
