Solve RTC workers problems, demands Mazdoor union in Karimnagar

RTC-TMU district unit representatives staging a dharna in front of Karimnagar bus depot-1 on Tuesday

Karimnagar: Road Transport Corporation Telangana Mazdoor Union (RTC-TMU) district president N Srinivas demanded the government to solve their issues immediately.

Following the call given by the State committee, the representatives of RTC-TMU district unit staged a dharna, wearing red badges in front of Karimnagar Bus depot-1 in Karimnagar on Tuesday.

Speaking on the occasion, N Srinivas alleged that from the past several years, RTS workers and employees have been demanding the government to solve their problems they have been suffering with. But the government and the RTC management are not in a mood to listen to their problems and solve them.

He demanded the government to reform wages which they were paid along with improving the service conditions. He also sought to pay the CCS money used by the RTC along with sanctioning leave encashment, which was in pending from 2014.

Srinivas also demanded the government supply of medicines in the hospital for the sake of RTC workers and employees, to pay retirement benefits on the day of retirement, to purchase new buses, to conduct route survey and fix running time and to merge the TSRTC into the government.

RTC-TMU representatives AVR Reddy, Anjaiah, G Sucharitha, JP Kumar, Shravan, VRG Rao, P Sujatha, Sarala, Venkateshwarlu, M Ramesh, BP Ram and about 150 members were present along with others.
