SP presents cheque to kin of home guard in Nirmal

Nirmal: Superintendent of Police C Shashidhar Raju presented a cheque to the kin of a deceased home guard, at his office in Nirmal on Tuesday.

R Srinivas, home guard (No. 439), resident of Kowtha (B) village of Boath mandal, Adilabad district, died due to illness on May 23rd this year. The SP presented a cheque of Rs 1,53,225 to Swapna, widow of Srinivas, as financial support to the family.

The SP said that if any home guard, working in different wings, dies on duty, then one day salaries of the entire staff will be given to the family of the deceased as financial support.

Special Branch Inspector Venkatesh, RI D Venkat, police staff and others were present.
