SP Vishnu S Warrier inaugurates CCTV cameras in Mukra village
Adilabad: Superintendent of Police Vishnu S Warrier along with Utnoor DSP Devid Esudasu inaugurated CCTV cameras at Mukra (K) village under Echoda mandal in Adilabad district on Wednesday.
Speaking on the occasion, the SP said that the village stands out for adopting new practices. Earlier it had won PM Narendra Modi's Digital India Award, he remembered.
The villagers voluntarily gave up liquor and non-vegetarian food. The village is an ideal for the people of the district, he said, adding that he would promote the Mukra K village's ideas in other villages.
The villagers have put a full stop to illegal activities by installing 16 CCTV cameras and the village people are no longer checked for illegal timber and inaccessible illegal activities. The villages equipped with CCTV cameras are witnessing rapid growth, he said. "I was impressed by the thoughts of the village development committee members," he added.
The CCTV cameras will be connected to the Echoda police station, he said.
