Speed up development works: Sircilla ZP chief Aruna

Sircilla: Speed up development and welfare activities in the district, Zilla Parishad chairperson Nyalakonda Aruna ordered the district officials concerned at the second general body meeting of Zilla Praja Parishad at PR Guest House in Sircilla town on Tuesday. Before commencing the meeting, all the members of the house observed two minutes silence for the demise of MRO Vijaya Reddy, who was brutally killed by K Suresh.

Speaking at the meeting, ZP chairperson N Aruna asked the officials of concerned departments to take the issue to the notice of local public representatives if they face any problems or obstacles in completing the developmental works and in the implementation of welfare schemes. At any cost, these works have to completed, she ordered. She further told to inform the local public representatives beforehand about any meeting proposed either at village level or at mandal level.

Arun ordered the officials of engineering department to start the works, of which the tender process was completed, and to complete the works within prescribed time limit.

When the public representatives informed that they are facing problems in the collection of small stones from forest officials, the Chairperson ordered the forest officials to cooperate with them for completing the construction of soaking pits in all villages.

The officials of various government departments must attend the ZPP general body meeting, which will be held for every three months with complete details and submit the report on various developmental works and welfare schemes that were implemented, she ordered.

Speaking on the occasion, District Collector D Krishna Bhaskar said all the issues raised by ZPTCs and MPPs were noted down and would try to solve them as early as possible. When some of the members brought to his notice that the family members of deceased farmers are not getting the insurance amount under Rythu Bhima, Collector Krishna Bhaskar assured them that this issue would be given much priority and will try to solve it very soon by consulting agricultural officials.

The Collector also assured the members that under corporate responsibility scheme, as many as tree guards will be collected and distributed to all the villages to protect the saplings that were planted under Haritha Haram. The members also brought to the notice of the officials and Chairperson about various issues such as road laying works, supply of Mission Bhagiratha drinking water and single use plastic.

TESCOB Chairman K Ravinder, ZPP vice-chairman S Venu, SES chairman D Laxma Reddy, ZP special officer Rahul Sharma, trainee Collector B Sathya Prasad, ZP CEO Goutham Reddy and officials of various departments and ZTPCs, MPPs were present along with others.
