Speed up Mission Bhagiratha works: Minister Indrakaran

Mancherial: Forest, Environment and Endowments Minister Allola Indrakaran Reddy instructed the officials to speed up Mission Bhagiratha works.

Speaking at a review meeting with the officials of Mancherial and Komaram Bheem-Asifabad districts at Singareni Guest House in Mancherial on Tuesday, the Minister said Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao wants to provide safe drinking water to every household through tap connection and following the CM's order, the MLAs should work in coordination with the district administrations. He told the contractors to take the help of working agencies to solve field-level problems.

Indrakaran Reddy observed that the rural people had awareness on cleanliness and greenery in villages during the 30-day special plan. He reviewed 30-day action plan with special officers and MPDOs. He appreciated MLAs, ZPTCs, MPTCs and sarpanches for developing their respective villages under the special action plan and officers should continue the inspiration and inspect the villages every week. The officials were told to work for 10 days for every four months to develop the villages as role models.

Mancherial Zilla Parishad Chairperson Nalla Bhagya Lakshmi, Asifabad District Zilla Parishad Chairperson Kova Lakshmi, Government Whip Balka Suman, MLC Puranam Satish, Bellampalli MLA Durgam Chinnaiah, Mancherial MLA Nadipelli Diwakar Rao, District Collector Bharathi Hollikeri, Asifbad District Collector Rajiv Gandhi Hanmanthu, engineering chief Krupakar Reddy, irrigation, forest and panchayat raj officers and others were present.
