'Sri Rama Deeksha' from March 25
The Sree Maha Vidya Peetham has announced that it will offer 'Sri Rama Deeksha' to the devotees with a noble aim to inculcate ethical and spiritual values in people. The huge Rama Deeksha event which is believed to be first of its kind will be conducted by Maha Vidya Peetham and Dharma Jagarana Samithi.
The event will be held on March 25 which marks the Ugadi festival, the Hindu tradition of starting a new year and will last for nine days.
As part of the 'Sri Rama Deeksha' event, the organizers will be organizing the Sita Rama Kalyanam at Ayodhya, the birthplace of Hindu deity Lord Rama.
The Deeksha will be held for nine days, starting from Ugadi till Sri Rama Navami. During those nine days, spiritual values will be taught to the devotees who take Rama Deeksha. The idea is to protect human values which would eventually protect Dharma.
"Following the path articulated in Valmiki's Ramayana is enough to protect values, and there is no need to implement something new," Brahmasri Chintapally Subramanya Sharma said.
