SSC exams from tomorrow

Hyderabad: Director of Government Examinations B Sudhakar and Commissioner and Director of School Education T Vijay Kumar said that the SSC Public Examinations will commence on March 16 and end on April 3 in the State.Addressing media jointly here on Thursday, the officials said out of 5,52,302 total candidates, 2,55,318 boys and 2,52,492 girls, will be giving their examinations as regular candidates and around 44,492 candidates will appear as private candidates.

Sudhakar said that all necessary arrangements have been made for the smooth conduct of the examinations and the hall tickets, printed nominal rolls, sufficient number of main, additional and graph sheets have been sent to 2,563 examination centres spread across the State. In addition to this, in case any candidate fails to receive their hall tickets the same could be downloaded from www.bse.telangana.gov.in website to attend the examination.

He said following a request from the Election Commission the English paper-II which is scheduled to be held on March 22 has been postponed to April 3 due to the intervening MLC elections, he added.

He advised students to reach their examination centres by 8.45 am as the students will not be allowed beyond 9.35 am. All examinations will be held from 9.30 am to 12.15 pm, except, the first language paper-II (Composite Course), which will be held from 9.30 am to 10.45 am on March 18. Four Special Flying Squads from the Directorate of Government Examinations, besides 144 flying squads are formed to inspect the examinations.

Vijay Kumar said the department has directed that necessary arrangements like providing water, separate toilets for boys and girls at the examination centre be provided. That apart, the TRSRTC was asked to run buses to various examination centres and the health department personnel will also be available in case of problems faced due to the increasing mercury levels in the State during the examinations, he said.
