State BJP welcomes abrogation of Article 370

Hyderabad: BJP Telangana unit on Monday welcomed abrogation of Article 370. It termed it a historic day of "The Day of Complete Integration of Jammu and Kashmir" with India.

In a statement here, BJP State chief spokesperson, Krishna Saagar Rao said "We admire the political will, courage and decisiveness of Prime Minister Narendra Modi " for taking the historic initiative. It will transform the geographical and administrative connect with Jammu and Kashmir forever.

Adding, the biggest beneficiary of the abrogation of Article 370 will be the people of Jammu and Kashmir. He said their living standards, employment opportunities, marital freedom and fundamental rights will have new beginnings.

Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh will see unprecedented economic growth, besides prosperity, which was stalled for over 72 years, the BJP chief spokesperson said.

He said BJP is proud that the government has lived up to the expectations reposed by the Indian voters who have given it a clear and strong mandate to transform this nation by resolving pending issues, he said.

That apart, we also believe that this initiative to abrogate Article 370 is a fitting tribute to our founder Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, who sacrificed his life protesting against the special status and autonomy to Jammu and Kashmir, he said.
