Steps afoot to develop Bhadrachalam Area Hospital as model hospital: Eatala Rajender

Bhadrachalam (Kothagudem): The Bhadrachalam Area Hospital would be developed as a model for all hospitals in tribal areas, said Health Minister Eatala Rajender. The Minister visited the hospital on Wednesday and interacted with the patients besides holding a meeting with the doctors. He enquired about the availability of staff and equipment.

When the doctors informed the Minister of shortage of doctors, he assured to address the issue soon. Speaking to the media later, Eatala noted that even though located remotely in an agency area, the sanitation and cleanliness at Bhadrachalam Area Hospital were better than many corporate hospitals in the State capital.

The Minister asserted that measures would be taken to develop Bhadrachalam hospital as a model and added that facilities like CT scan and dialysis equipment would be provided at the hospital soon.

Zilla Parishad Chairman Koram Kanakaiah, District Library Chairman D Rajender, Integrated Tribal Development Agency Project Officer VP Goutham, Sub-Collector Bhavesh Misra and others accompanied the Minister.
