BRS President Kalvakuntla Chandrasekhar Rao emphasized that the struggle for Telangana is not new, as the party has faced many hardships in the past. He held a meeting with party leaders to discuss the issue of KRMB (Krishna River Management Board) at Telangana Bhavan on Tuesday. During the meeting, he made strong comments about CM Revanth Reddy, stating that he should not try to interfere with him or his party as they have experienced more difficulties than him.

KCR expressed his concern about the projects being placed under the authority of the Krishna Board, as he believes it would be a grave injustice to the state. He argued that even permission to maintain the reservoirs should be obtained from the board. He criticized the Congress government for lacking understanding and accused CM Revanth Reddy of being unaware of the potential damage if the projects were handed over to KRMB. He also claimed that if the central government wants to provide funding, they would have to beg for it, which is why his government did not agree to surrender the projects in the first place.

KCR stated that their struggle is to keep the projects under the control of the state and announced plans to intensify the movement with a large public meeting in Nalgonda. He advised BRS leaders to organize a meeting to raise awareness about the protection of Krishna waters on the 13th, involving people from Nalgonda, Mahbubnagar, and Khammam districts. He accused the central government of playing games due to the ignorance of current rulers regarding the projects and water management. KCR emphasized the need to explain the potential consequences to the people and disregarded the objections raised by the Congress.

During the meeting, KCR also addressed the controversy surrounding KRMB and the allegations made by the Congress. He made fiery comments about CM Revanth Reddy, stating that in the past 10 years, Telangana projects have never been handed over to the central government despite pressure. He mentioned that Union Hydropower Minister Gajendra Singh Shekawat threatened to take over the projects or notify the government. KCR made it clear that there is no question of surrendering the projects and accused the Congress of insulting him and his party.

He asserted that the BRS party has a history of facing challenges and defending the state for ten years, while implying that Congress leaders and Revanth Reddy are new to such struggles. KCR emphasized that he will not back down and is not afraid of any threats or insults, as he knows what is best for Telangana.
