Students stuck in city appeal the government for their safe return

Many students from various states are stranded in the city due to the lockdown to ensure their safe return to the state.

Hyderabad: Many students from various states that include Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Tripura and Maharashtra, who are stranded in the city due to the lockdown have taken the help of social media to express their difficulties and also applied their respective state government to ensure their safe return to the state.

"One of the stranded students, Dilip said, "It is a humble request from all students of Maharashtra to the state government for our safe return. I am the student of Naresh IT Technologies and for the past 8 months studying in this institute and due to the lockdown got stuck in Hyderabad. Along with me, they are more than 10 students from Maharasthra who are stuck over here. As when the lockdown was announced we have been requesting the Maharashtra government to arrange some facility so that we can reach our home town safely but we have not got any response."

He also said whereas in other states are providing E passes but the Telangana government is not providing the pass and police officials are not cooperating with us. As the students are not feeling safe in the city as COVID-19 cases are fast increasing. Also even in our hostel that is located in Ameerpet and there we are not able to get proper food.

"My home town is in Pune, Maharashtra. I came to Hyderabad last year to pursue my internship in a Pharmaceutical company. Due to the outbreak of coronavirus and lockdown, I am unable to reach hometown. Expenses of the day are increasing and survival has become difficult. She also said that the states like UP and Assam already taken measures to bring back students of their respective states than why not our state is taking such action," said Aunshri Tambey, one of the stranded students.

"I was pursuing my internship in Hyderabad at Phramaculical company and it got over last month, but due to COVID-19 situation and lockdown, I am unable to reach hometown Gotan , Rajasthan. Day and day bearing expenses are becoming difficult. For the past last one month I having twitting to the government to send us back to our home but till today no action is been taken,'' said Shibani Mishra, one of the stranded student

"Along with me there are 5 students from Bihar and 3 from Jharkhand who got stuck over here and students over here are facing mental stress in the uncertain circumstance. We are the students of Naresh IT Technologies and for the past 9 months studying in this institute. We are not getting basic needs like food and various amenities in our hostel'', said Shivam, one of the stranded students.
