Sunil Rao takes charge as Mayor of Karimnagar Municipal Corporation
Karimnagar: Y Sunil Rao took charge as the Mayor of Karimnagar Municipal Corporation (KMC) here on Saturday.
After taking charge, Y Sunil Rao sanctioned Rs10,000 to the government school students who will get 9.5 GPA in the 10th class examinations which would be held in the month of March and for supplying drinking water 24/7 to the people under KMC limits.
Y Sunil Rao attended the municipal office along with his family members and after offering prayers he took charge as the Mayor under the leadership of BC Welfare and Civil Supplies Minister Gangula Kamalakar and in the presence of City Municipal Commissioner Valluri Kranthi.
Speaking on the occasion, City Mayor Y Sunil Rao said that he would strive hard for the development of the city with the cooperation of all carporators and the officials of Municipal Corporation.
Later, a meeting was organsied at the premises of Municipal Corporation to felicitate the new city Mayor Y Sunil Rao. Minority Corporation Chairman Akbar Hussain, former MLAs Sathyanarayana Goud, Arepalli Mohan, Deputy Mayor Challa Swaroopa Rani and newly elected carporators were also present on the occasion.
