Suryapet: CPM, civil society groups try to lay siege to Minister's camp office
Suryapet/Miryalaguda: Demanding the State government to address the genuine demands of the agitating RTC employees, the CPM and civil society organisations tried to lay to siege to the Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy's camp office in Suryapet on Thursday.
Speaking on the occasion, CPM district secretary Mallu Nagarjun Reddy said Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has been adamant towards the RTC employees who have been agitating for the last 34 days.
He questioned the police over arresting the CPM and civil society organisation leaders when they went to submit a memorandum to Minister G Jagadish Reddy at his camp office.
Meanwhile, in Kodad, the agitating RTC workers obstructed the State Legislative Council chairman Gutha Sukender Reddy's convoy during the protest rally in the town. They submitted a memorandum to Gutha and urged him to take their matter to the notice of the Chief Minister.
Similarly in Nalgonda, district Congress president Shankar Naik and CPM State leader and former MLA Julakanti Ranga Reddy participated in a rally of RTC workers in Miryalaguda town and took part in a protest at the RTC bus stand.
Speaking on the occasion, both the leaders demanded the government to invite RTC workers for discussions and address their demands .
