Suryapet: Gutha praises efforts of cops in maintaining law & order
Nalgonda/Suryapet/Bhongir: Telangana Legislative Council chairman Gutha Sukender Reddy stated that investments pour in any State if law and order was under control and added that the efforts of police have put Telangana on top in the country.
On Monday, along with Zilla Parishad Chairman Banda Narender Reddy and Nalgonda MLA Bhupal Reddy, Gutha paid floral tributes to police martyrs at memorial pillar located on the premises of District Police Office in Nalgonda.
Addressing the gathering, Gutha said he assured to extend all help to the families of police martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the safety of the people of the society.
Stating that Telangana police succeeded in suppressing extremists, he called upon Maoists to mingle with the public and fight for people democratically, which was acceptable.
"Telangana government has been giving top priority to police department since the day one of State's formation and allocating sufficient budgets for the welfare of police," he said.
The State government not only increased the salaries of homeguards but also increased the ex gratia up to 40 lakh for those who lose their lives while discharging their duties.
Superintendent of Police AV Ranganath stated that the true tributes to police martyrs lies on rendering justice to victims who knock on the doors of police stations.
Meanwhile, Suryapet Additional SP Pujitha Neelam and Yadadri-Bhongir zone DCP Narayana Reddy along with District Collector Anitha Ramachandran paid tributes to police martyrs in during the programmes held in Suryapet and Yadadri-Bhongir districts respectively
On the occasion of Police Martyrs Day celebrations, the police officials felicitated the families of martyr police on a grand note.
