Suryapet: Officials told to wrap up action plan pending works by November 18
Suryapet: District Collector Amoy Kumar directed the officials concerned to complete the pending works pertaining to 30-day gram panchayat action plan programme. Speaking at a review meeting at the Collectorate on Friday, he expressed dissatisfaction over pending works despite the villages getting necessary permission from the government.
He directed the officials concerned to complete all the pending works by November 18 without fail and also instructed them to submit daily reports of works carried out in the villages.
The Collector directed the Mandal Parishad officials and Tahsildars to examine the progress of works in their areas. Adding that lands for local markets were already identified in Nemmikal, Miryala and Arvapally major gram panchayats, he advised the officials concerned to identify the lands for local markets in all other major gram panchayats in the district.
Stating that 427 dumping yards and 428 burial grounds were identified in the 475 gram panchayats, he ordered the officials to complete the rest of the works at the earliest.
Later, the Collector reviewed Haritha Haram, employment guarantee scheme, Indira Kranthi Pathkam and others.
He advised the officials to strive to put the district on top with regard to Haritha Haram by encouraging local body representatives and villagers to take part in it.
District officials Vijaya Laxmi, Kiran Kumar, Yadaiah, Venkat Reddy, Tahsildars, MPDOs and Assistant Project Directors attended the review meeting.
