'Sustainable growth possible with cooperative sector'

Karimnagar: Cooperative sector will contribute to community development only, stated Konduru Ravinder Rao, President of KDCC Bank and TSCAB, while speaking at the second ICA-AP Cooperative Registrar's Forum Conference at Ho Chi Minh City on Wednesday.

He said that sustainable development can be seen in agriculture with cooperative sector.

ICA- AP conference has been conducted by International Cooperative Alliance Asia and Pacific (ICA-AP) and the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance (VCA) for 'Creating Legal Framework and Policies to Promote Sustainable Development of Cooperatives in the 21st century' at The Times square, The Reverie Saigon Hotel, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

The meeting was inaugurated by Vuong Dinh Hue, Deputy Prime Minister of Vietnam. The President of International Cooperative Alliance, Ministers of Cooperation, Investment of Vietnam were the chief guests in the inaugural function. Conference will continue till Friday (April 19).

Konduru Ravinder Rao is a member of the official delegation headed by Abhilash Likhi, Joint Secretary (Food, Agriculture & Cooperation), Government of India; Chandrapal Singh Yadav, Member of Parliament and Chairman of National Coop Union of India (NCUI); Bhima Subrahmanyam, MD, National Federation of State Coop Banks (NAFSCOB); KK Ravindran, MD, National Cooperative Agriculture and Rural Development Banks' Federation Ltd (NCARDB Fedn); and Thejovathy, Regional Director, NCDC and other dignitaries were have attended the conference.
