Tahsildar torched: Revenue staff protest by wearing black badges in Mahbubnagar
Mahbubnagar: With the shocking incident of burning of Abudullapurmet mandal Tahsildar Vijaya Reddy on Monday, the revenue and collectorate staff from all the mandal headquarters across all the four districts of erstwhile Mahbubnagar staged a protest by wearing black badges.
In Nagarkurnool district, the revenue and district collectorate staff condemned the incident and demanded justice. "It is really a black day for all of us. In the broad day light, a Tahsildar was torched.
We from Nagarkurnool Revenue Association condemn such incidents and demand justice," said the members of Nagarkurnool Revenue Officers Association.
In Achampet revenue division, Revenue Divisional Officer Pandu Nayak and other revenue office staffs also condoled the death of the Abdullapurmet Tahsildar and condemned the incident.
Similar protest by the revenue officials from Kollapur, Narayanpet, Gadwal and Mahbubnagar district headquarters were observed.
In Narayanpet, District Collector S Venkatrao along with the revenue officials and collectorate staff wore black badges and expressed their angst against the incident.
