Talk of more sops as CM KCR to meet staff unions today

Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao is likely to announce some more sops to government employees at a meeting called with all employees unions at Pragati Bhavan on Thursday.

The CM had already announced that new pay-scales would be given to all the employees from February 2021, based on the recommendations made by the PRC (Pay Revision Commission).

Telangana Gazetted Officers (TGOs) and Telangana Non-Gazetted Officers (TNGO) associations, Telangana revenue employees organisations and other employees union representatives were invited to the luncheon meeting.

The employee unions are hopeful of the government addressing pending housing issues and free medical treatment in corporate hospitals. They also want the government to effect inter-departmental transfers to meet the work force demand in some key departments.
