Tamilisai to grace AIMA cultural fest tomorrow

Hyderabad: All India Malayalee Association (AIMA) Telangana unit, in association with NMDC, is organising AIMA "Kalolsavam" (Cultural Fest) in Hyderabad on Sunday. Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan, would be the chief guest.

Minister for Tourism and Culture V Srinivas Goud, State Planning Board Vice Chairman B Vinod Kumar and NMDC CMD N Bijendra Kumar will be the guests of honours. AIMA has 28 Malayali associations under its umbrella.

The Kalolsavam will have a variety of cultural programmes being presented by these associations. From cinematic dances, nritha shilpam (dance ballet), light music, skit mela, it includes a variety of cultural programmes.

It is a whole day Kalolsavam with food courts having traditional Kerala food like kappa, fish curry, pazham pori, parippuvada, appam etc.

The programme starts at 10 am and will continue till night at MMR Gardens in Bowenpally on the Secunderabad-Medchal Highway, according to AIMA Telangana president TSC Prasad and general secretary M K Sasikumar.

This will be followed by a cultural extravaganza of a variety of traditional Kerala music and dance forms by Sasthamkotta Aadi Nadan Pattu Sangham Nattupooram 'Thudi Muzhakkam' by famous artistes from Kerala.

This will be an opportunity for the Kerala families of different associations to exhibit their talents, said general convenors K Surendran, G Suresh Kumar, T V Verghese and K K Rajesh.
