TCS employee ends life due to in-laws harassment in Hyderabad

Unable to tolerate in-laws harassment, a 30-year-old woman committed suicide on Friday here at Kukatpally Housing Board Colony.

In 2017, the victim Meghana (30) who was working as a software engineer in TCS got married to Kothapalli Vinay Kumar (32), a resident of Hydernagar. Six months after marriage, Meghana's in-laws began harassing her demanding divorce.

She later went to her parents' home and had been staying there for one and a half year. On Thursday, Vinay sent a divorce notice to Meghana after which she went into depression. However, she went to her in-laws home at Bhavyas Akhila Apartment in Hydernagar on the following day where they restricted her entry into the apartment.

Meghana told the security that she came to visit her relatives and went to the ninth floor of the building. She kept her helmet and bag aside and jumped off the building.

Her body was sent to Gandhi hospital for post-mortem. SI Veeresham registered a case and launched an investigation.
