TDP workers stop Lakshmi Parvathi from talking to media at NTR Ghat

Hyderabad: Telugu Desam Party (TDP) State unit workers on Tuesday obstructed YSR Congress party leader Nandamuri Lakshmi Parvathi from speaking to media at NTR Ghat here.

Parvathi accompanied by her followers visited the Ghat and paid tributes to departed TDP founder President N T Rama Rao on his birth anniversary.

She alleged that no basic arrangements were made at the Ghat to mark the birth anniversary celebrations of her late husband. "Not a single banner was put up at the ghat," she said.

She also said that TDP national president N Chandrababu Naidu was taught a befitting lesson in AP elections because of his conspiracies.

Irate over her remarks against Naidu, the TDP workers, who were present at the ghat, obstructed Parvati from talking to media and also raised slogans in support of their party Chief. The premises witnessed some tense moments.
