Teachers' MLC demands overhauling of TSBIE
Hyderabad: Teacher's MLC Alugubelli Narsi Reddy demanded that the State government take immediate measures to streamline the Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE).
Narsi Reddy on Monday said that he tried to meet the Board officials on the issue of irregularities in the declaration of the IPE-2019 results. However, police deployed at the Board's office arrested and shifted him to the Narayanguda police station, he added.
Terming such practices of using police force would only make already worried students to further agitate and create discard towards the Board, he cautioned.
He alleged the irregularities surfcasting in the functioning of the Board are due to the officials at the Intermediate Board working for the interests of the corporate colleges and stressed the need for a thorough cleansing of the Board.
The MLC also demanded that the State government provide free revaluation and re-verification of the answer sheets free of cost (wherever necessary).
The MLC asked the government to take necessary steps to assure the students that they would not waste a year.
He also asked to establish centres for receiving applications for revaluation and verification in the headquarters of the all the erstwhile 10 districts of the State.
