Teacher's union appeals to Telangana govt. to scrap SSC exams
Pingili Sripal Reddy, president of the teacher's union said that the students from various places studying in the Model, KGBVS, residential and Ashram schools besides in general hostels. Several students from other states are also studying in private and corporate schools.
In a statement, Reddy said that the conduct of exams might be difficult with no public transportation and the parents of the students will also have a tough time for commuting. Even after the exams, the teachers from various districts face difficulty to reach the evaluation centres. Considering all these aspects, we requested the government to scrap the exams and consider the internal marks for calculating GPA.
The government said that it will conduct SSC exams in May and has decided to file an affidavit in the High Court. The exam schedule will be announced after the High Court accords permission.
