Telangana: 16 guests who attended marriage test positive for coronavirus in Jagtial

Despite the prevailing coronavirus situation in the state, marriages and other events continued to be held in the state. While some are taking all the precautionary measures, masks and social distancing are going for a toss in other parties.

Here is one such case, where 16 guests who attended a marriage tested positive for coronavirus in Jagtial. Getting into details, the family had taken permission to hold the marriage in a grand manner with limited guests at Dharmapuri. However, the number of guests attended the marriage increased more than expected.

Several guests who attended the event experienced cough, cold and fever a few days after the marriage and underwent coronavirus tests of which the results of 16 people came positive and the reports of remaining are awaited. All the guests and their family members are being tested.

Jagtial on Thursday reported 52 cases out of the total 1,931 cases registered across the state. With the fresh coronavirus cases, the total cases in the state went up to 86,475. While the death toll went up to 665 with 11 new deaths due to coronavirus.
