Telangana: 2 sisters drown in Mahbubnagar

Two sisters aged about 11 and four years were drowned in a pond here at Hanwada of Mahbubnagar district on Tuesday.

Rajitha (11) and Mokshitha (4) who were pursuing fifth and first standard respectively went to their agricultural field along with parents. The duo accidentally fell into a water pond and drowned.

Meanwhile, their parents Sayanna and Anjamma were alerted and noticed them lying in the pond. The police rushed to the spot and registered a case. The bodies of the deceased were shifted to a hospital for post-mortem.

The incident occurred at Madaram of Hanswada Mandal. Sayanna and Anjamma have three daughters out of them, two were dead.
