Telangana: 20,000 vacancies in police department, list submitted to govt
As many as 20,000 vacancies have been identified in the police department after the government asked the officials concerned to list out vacancies in all the departments. It is known that the Chief Minister has announced 50,000 vacancies in various departments in the state.
It is learned that about 425 Sub-Inspectors, 19,300 police constables and 200 public prosecutors vacancies have been identified. According to the report submitted, there are 368 civil SIs, 29 AR SIs, and 18 in the communication SIs. Among the police constables, 7764 were civil and 6683 AR constables, TSSP 3874, communication 256 and 561 in 15th Battalion TSSP.
After the CM announced to fill up the job vacancies, the state chief secretary convened a meeting with the heads of all the departments earlier this week and directed them to identify the vacancies in their respective department. Around 20,000 vacancies were identified in the police department.
