Telangana: 3 killed after car rams into lorry in Nalgonda
Three people including two women were killed after the car they were travelling in rammed into a paddy-loaded lorry that was parked on the roadside. The incident took place on Thursday morning at Vattimarthy of Chityala Mandal of Nalgonda district.
Girishala Srinivas (45), a native of Kothapalli of Gokavaram in East Godavari district was heading to Hyderabad with his wife Lakshmi (30), another woman identified Lakshmi Chandana (28) and five other people including three children. Srinivas, Lakshmi and Chandana were dead on the spot while five others sustained injuries.
SI Raju shifted the injured to a nearby hospital for treatment while the bodies were shifted to Nalgonda government hospital for autopsy. The police registered a case and launched an investigation.
On May 7, 2020 – Three people including a 18-month-old girl from Kerala were killed in an accident in Nizamabad while travelling to Kozhikode from Bihar. They were identified as Anish (33), his younger daughter Analiya and another Steny (23). Anish's wife and elder daughter suffered minor injuries and were shifted to Osmania General Hospital.
Anish and Steny were teachers at the St Teresa's English High School at Warisaliganj in Nawada. The group of Keralites had commenced their journey from Nawada in two cars on May 14 evening.
