Telangana: 3 migrants from Mancherial test positive for coronavirus
Three people of a family from Rapelli village of Hajipur Mandal in Mancherial district tested positive for coronavirus. All three were returned to their native place from Mumbai on May 5.
After their return from Mumbai, the health authorities put them on quarantine. The officials shifted them to an isolation ward in Bellampalli after they showed the symptoms of coronavirus. Their samples were tested which turned positive for the virus. Later, the family was shifted to Gandhi Hospital in Hyderabad on Saturday night.
Earlier, an elderly woman from Mutharaopally of Chennur Mandal in Mancherial tested positive for coronavirus and later succumbed to the disease. The woman is learned to have tested positive for the virus after she attended a function in Mutharaopally. However, all the primary contacts of the woman were tested and found negative.
In a similar case, four migrant workers who moved to Mumbai from Telangana had returned to their native place Yadadri in the state two days ago. Three of the four members tested positive for the coronavirus. Yadadri district collector Anitha Ramachandran said that they had shifted to Mumbai over 15 years ago.
