Telangana-Andhra Pradesh border closed for Janata curfew
In the view of the Janata curfew announced by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh border at Kodad has been closed on Sunday morning.
The roads also wore a deserted look after the government restricted the movement of vehicles in the state. TSRTC, MMTS and Hyderabad metro rail suspended operations today extending its support to Janata curfew.
Meanwhile, the Maharashtra and Telangana border was also closed today. The government is planning to close the border for a few more days due to the large number of coronavirus positive cases. However, it will decided later after notifying the people in Nizamabad and Adilabad who share a common border with Maharashtra.
The state chief secretary and DGP is said to have been in touch with the officials of the neighbouring states and are planning to ban the entry of people from other states.
