Telangana: APO held for taking bribe in Kamareddy

Additional district programme coordinator (APO) of the National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS) has been caught red-handed by the officials of the Anti-Corruption Bureau while accepting a bribe in Kamareddy.

Narsareddy, a contractor in Bhavanipeta has developed graveyards in Arepalli village. He approached APO Rajendar for the release of bills for the development works. Rajendar demanded Rs 50,000 for the bills from Narsareddy initially agreed to it. However, Reddy approached the ACB who laid a trap and caught the officer red-handed while accepting Rs 10,000 as an initial payment.

On January 23, 2020 - a land surveyor Mobin in Ellanthakunta caught by the ACB while accepting Rs 10,000 from a victim for surveying the latter's land.
