Telangana BJP on Sunday urged the Election Commission Bar Kavitha from contesting MLC election

Hyderabad: Telangana BJP on Sunday urged the Election Commission to reject nomination papers of former MP K Kavitha for allegedly suppressing facts in her affidavit filed for MLC post in Nizamabad district.

Addressing the media through video conference here on Sunday, BJP floor leader in State Legislative Council, N Ramachander Rao said that Nizamabad district BJP president had written a letter to the ECI, giving details of how the TRS MLC candidate had filed an affidavit with undervaluing her assets.

She should be disqualified for furnishing false information to the Election Commission, he said. He also demanded security to the BJP corporators and ZPTCs who comprise electoralcollege for the MLC elections.

Reacting to three BJP corporators in Nizamabad joining the TRS, he said that the ruling party is resorting to the same unholy practices it had used to usurp the Mayor post of Nizamabad Municipal Corporation with the help of ex-officio members and MIM. The BJP Greater Hyderabad city presidnet said the BJP and ZPTC members are threatened and lured just ahead of the TRS candidate filing her nominations to increase its tally.

Ramachander Rao said, "The pink party is indulging in such illegal tactics out of fear of defeat in Nizamabad where BJP has won MP seat defeating the former TRS MP." The BJP MLC urged the State government to run more number of RTC buses for lecturers attending the intermediate spot valuation to maintain social distancing in the buses and provide group insurance to them.

He also asked the government to extend financial help to the private management schools to pay salaries to their staff.
