Telangana: Car plunges into canal in Yadadri, 3 die

Three die after the car they were travelling in plunged into a canal in Ramannapet of Yadadri district. The deceased were identified as Madhu husband of Sarnnenigudem sarpanch, his son Manikanta and car driver, Sridhar Reddy.

It is learned that the trio informed going to an agricultural well in the car on Friday and did not return home. A complaint was lodged by the victim's family members. During the search, the sarpanch's car was found in the Vellanki canal. The bodies were removed from the car and shifted to a hospital for autopsy.

MLA Chirumarthi Lingaiah expressed grief over the incident and offered condolences to the bereaved family.

In a similar case, a couple died after their car plunged into the Kakatiya canal on Karimnagar outskirts on January 25, 2020. Macharla Srinivas and his wife Swaroopa who went to buy fish near the canal slid into the canal while reversing the car.
