Telangana: EC bans exit polls from April 11 to May 19

The state Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) said that the exit polls for the Lok Sabha elections and other surveys related to poll results are banned from 7 am on April 11 to 6.30 pm on May 19.
Speaking to media, Rajath said that the exit polls are banned in the state using powers under the Representation of People Act, 1951 adding that no such programmes related to exit polls will be telecast or printed between the time specified.
He also stated that no opinion polls or other poll surveys should be conducted 48 hours before the end of the polling.
