Telangana expedites execution of Covid vaccine

The Telangana government is taking up all the measures to expedite the Covid vaccine distribution process in the state and has taken initiative to train the healthcare staff at mandal and district-level for two days.

The training process for the healthcare staff at the district-level has been launched virtually today and it will be concluded tomorrow. Meanwhile, the staff at mandal-level will also be trained for two days.

Representatives of the World Health Organization (WHO) and UNICEF will explain the vaccination process, preserving vaccine cold chain, waste management, COVID software and its usage and more to the staff on the first day. On the second day, the staff will be asked to study the health conditions of vaccinated persons and the side effects if any besides bringing awareness to the public on the vaccine.

The state government has already set up committees for the vaccine distribution process at state, district and mandal levels. The state steering committee includes -- NCC, NSS, railway, defense wings. Initially, the vaccine will be distributed to the healthcare staff and subsequently to the other groups.
