The police have launched manhunt and registered cases against those who violated the health protocol by skipping treatment at quarantine centres.

Officials said that this includes the son of top police official of Kothagudem district who on return from London was diagnosed with corona positive symptoms.

Despite that he did not get admitted in any hospital and get quarantined. Instead, he went to his native place in the district last week.

The family concealed the details of the victim until the local medical authorities busted the case. Action is being taken against the family, including the police officer, for ignoring to share the details with the government.

In another case, a person arrived in old Mahbubnagar district from Dubai recently. The family members did not report the person's foreign travel history until the locals alerted the officials.

The Medical and Health department based on the details submitted by the government stumbled upon the person with positive case and shifted him to Hyderabad.

A case was registered against the family members for hiding the person's details. Another woman with US travel history from the same district was suffering with suspected symptoms of corona.

Her family members were reluctant to inform the officials. Alerted by the locals, the officials shifted the victim to a quarantine centre. Test results are awaited.

Officials said that penal action will be taken soon after the cases were booked, and investigation is completed.

"Every person who is required to observe home quarantine should strictly observe the same failing which he or she will be liable for penal action."

Nearly 20 such cases were reported in the state in the last two days and action will be taken against them soon.
